Kurtz Psychology Consulting PC employs and trains various types and levels of clinicians.
We train graduate and undergraduate students in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, and other disciplines. Internships and externships occur throughout the year, including academic year and summer-only experiences.
We also provide training to licensed mental health professionals, teachers, and speech language pathologists who work in our selective mutism intensive treatment programs.

Send a de-identified case report, including case conceptualization, rationale for treatment, interventions provided, and treatment course – this does not need to be one you’ve already written for your program. We prefer recommendation letters from professionals who know you in a clinical or training context.

Priority will be given to applicants who are able to work in our summer and winter intensive treatment programs.
NOTE: A completed application consists of your CV, a letter of intent, and two letters of reference. We will send you confirmation when we have received a completed application and will begin the review process only after receiving all documents. Recruitment for all programs is competitive and on a rolling basis.
NOTE FOR METRO NY/NJ PSYCHOLOGY EXTERNS ONLY: If you are a graduate student participating in the Metro NY/NJ psychology consortium, please note the following: KPCPC does abide by the Guidelines. Consult our link on the official externship website. We require 20-hours/week and a full 12 months of our academic year externs; this does not apply to students participating in summer or special projects only. Expected start date for the 2017-2018 academic year is July, 2017. We require your attendance at standing seminars and group supervisions which currently occur mid-day on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Wednesday time is subject to change. The Friday time is set but accommodations can be made for religious observance.
